Universal Orlando Resort

This is not your average theme park experience. Universal Orlando Resort is packed with thrills, dining and immersive worlds that will blow you away. With four theme parks and a variety of on-property hotels, you’ll want to make sure you’re getting it right from the moment you book your vacation.  I plan Universal Orlando Resort vacations for families across Canada and the United States.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions | Universal Orlando Travel Agent

These are the questions I hear most often as a Universal Orlando travel agent. If yours isn’t here, reach out and I’m happy to talk it through.

It depends on your priorities  and your pace. Most families need three to four days to see everything without rushing, more if you want pool days or repeat rides. If you’ve got fans of The Boy Who Lived (⚡) in your group that’s going to dictate your plans too. I’ll help you map the right number for your trip.

Often, yes, especially during busier seasons like the holidays. But it’s a real cost, and it’s not always necessary. One thing many families don’t realize: staying at select Signature Collection hotels can include Express Pass for your whole stay. We can outline each approach and decide where it will make the biggest difference so you’re not paying for something you don’t need.

I will always book the hotel that works best for your family. However, if you’re planning on spending several days at Universal Orlando,  I strongly believe staying on-property is the best value.

The “best” time balances crowds, weather, and price, and they rarely all line up. I’ll help you find the window that fits your family’s schedule and priorities, and flag the dates worth avoiding.

Best best advice for free: first-time guests significantly under-value the seasonal offerings at Universal Orlando. From Mardi Gras to celebrating Grinchmas at the holidays, these experiences add so much to your vacation and they’re worth prioritizing.

Yes, as long as you plan with your child in mind. While there are plenty of thrill attractions at Universal Orlando you might be surprised to find your child meets the height requirement for more of them than you think. If thrills aren’t top of the list there is still plenty to do, you just need to know where to go. Or maybe we need to chat about Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, TX!

If you’re not sure, let’s chat and discuss the options to make sure you’re booking the right trip for your family.

Yes, and as someone with celiac myself, this is a question I love. Universal has solid gluten-free options across the parks, and knowing where to go makes all the difference. I share real tips from my own visits, like this post on eating gluten-free at Universal Studios and this one at Universal Epic Universe, and I’ll help you plan around your dietary needs so meals are the easy part of your trip.
Universal Orlando provides information about their food- allergies and dietary needs on their website and I’m happy to walk you through what it actually looks like when you’re there.

Fun fact, not really. 😂

I figure if you’ve made it this far into my FAQs then we have developed enough of a relationship that I can give you the full scoop. So here it is…

As a travel agent who works for Platinum U-Preferred Agency (Pure Magic Vacations) we are trained directly by Universal Parks and Resorts. Once our training is complete we earn a Universal Orlando Resort Specialist and a Universal Studios Hollywood certification. But no one is asking Google or AI to help them find a “Universal Orlando Resort Specialist” so I use the term Universal Orlando Travel Agent here to help you find me.

Semantics? Yes. But now you know.

Universal Orlando Travel Agent Testimonial: Working With Kat

★★★★★

“Kat Ward went above and beyond in helping me plan my family trip to Universal Studios. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to deciding when to go, where to stay, what to see and even where to eat (especially for people with dietary restrictions). Kat shared a wealth of experience regarding the parks that proved to be very useful and allowed us to make the most out of our trip. She was always available to answer any questions I had, and her guidance leading up to the trip (and even during!) helped in creating a truly memorable trip for our family! I highly recommend Kat for anyone looking to book a trip – you’ll be in great hands!!!”
